Dos and Don’ts of Contact Lens Wear

Do’s

• Practice Good Contact Lens Hygiene
• Clean them every night
• Do not wear them to sleep
• Change your lens case every time you open a new Multi-Purpose Solution (MPS) bottle
• Discard the previous night’ MPS, clean, turn over the lens case and air-dry your case.

 

Don’ts

• Do not wear for more than 8 to 10 hours a day, if possible  (Bring spectacles and a contact lens container with you)
• Avoid use in “dirty” environment, eg camping
• Never wear contact lenses in the presence of a red eye
• Consider Daily Disposables or Refractive Surgery
